After Dermaplaning, What Should You Do?

Your skin will be susceptible after treatment. Because the skin uncovered by the procedure is brand new to the world, it will be extremely sensitive for 3 to 7 days following treatment. It is critical that you follow the simple aftercare instructions we provide to take care of your skin. Following are some post-treatment recommendations:

  • For three days, stay out of the sun.

  • For three days, stay away from intense temperatures.

  • For one week, avoid using scrubs or other exfoliants.

  • For one week, stay away from chlorine.

  • Apply serums and moisturizers to your skin.

  • Apply sunscreen to your skin.

The post-treatment care instructions largely consist of a list of items to avoid in order to maintain the new skin's health. We may provide you with further instructions, such as which goods should and should not be used.

How Often Should Dermaplaning Be Performed?

The frequency with which you receive this therapy is determined by your natural rate of skin cell turnover. To maintain the optimum outcomes, most patients should get this therapy once a month. We may recommend that you stagger your sessions 6 weeks apart if you have sensitive skin. Our knowledgeable staff will assist you in determining the appropriate amount of time between sessions.

Is it possible to combine this treatment with others?

Yes! This treatment is a great way to get ready for a variety of different skincare procedures. Combining this treatment with the DermaGlow chemical peel and the DermaVive renewing facial is something we advocate at our office. Because this treatment prepares your skin so effectively, we recommend combining it with other treatments to get the most out of each appointment. We'll assist you in determining which additional treatment options are ideal for you and your skin.

Candidates who are ideal

Who are the best candidates for this procedure? Everyone. This therapy is suitable for people of all ages and skin types. There are no restrictions or hazards involved with this treatment from a medical standpoint.
