Here's why nanoblading is the new microblading.

Are you in the market for a new brow treatment? You might be a good candidate for nanoblading. The latest brow trend that's sweeping the beauty world by storm is investigated by a stylist..

Bold brows aren't going anywhere fast, it's almost a truth.

If your brows aren't quite catwalk-worthy, consider nanoblading. It's the newest cosmetic procedure on the market, and it could be just what you're looking for. It's a procedure that promises picture-perfect, boosted brows and is already sweeping social media and cosmetic clinics around the country.

WHAT IS NANOBLADING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

A needle is used in conjunction with a microblade, which is a portable tool with a blade (or set of closely packed pins) and a digital device. It resembles a traditional tattoo machine but is less harsh. It painstakingly generates the illusion and look of hair strokes using a blade instead of a single needle.

MICROBLADING VS. NANOBLADING: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

According to Giles, nanoblading is a far gentler form of semi-permanent cosmetics that is less prone to cause skin harm.

"The pins that make the blade in microblading are hard, whereas the pins that are placed into the device in nanoblading are very fine (thus the word 'nano') and also flexible," she explains. "Nanoblading achieves the same stunning, sharp, and supernatural results as permanent makeup and microblading, and it's also more suitable for a wider spectrum of clients than microblading, which can fade quickly in some skins."

IS IT PAINFUL?

We're sorry to tell you, but nanoblading isn't 100% painless, yet without pain, there's no gain, right? It employs a topical anesthetic to reduce discomfort during the treatment, and little scabs form from the pigment in the needle once it's over.

WHAT IS THE TIME FRAMEWORK FOR THE TREATMENT AND HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The initial treatment takes two hours, followed by an hour-long retouching session.

"Everyone's complexion is different, but the pigment normally lasts for 2-3 years in the skin without retouching," Giles explains.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BE WATCHING FOR?

Because removal treatments can be costly, avoid any permanent makeup disasters by thoroughly investigating clinics that offer the service.
